1. What we collect
When you sign up for the Free Letter, we collect your email address and any optional reason for joining you choose to share. If you subscribe to the Full Letter, our payment provider also handles your billing details (name, country, and card information) — we do not store full card numbers ourselves. If you choose to take Step Zero, the responses you give in the baseline check are stored so we can generate your private PDF.
2. How we use it
Your email is used to send the weekly Iceberg Letter and related subscriber updates (billing receipts, important changes to the letter, and the like). We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing. There are no ads inside the letter.
3. Step Zero data
Step Zero is optional. The answers you provide are used only to generate your private baseline PDF and are not part of the main newsletter experience. They are not shared with insurers, employers, advertisers, or any third party, and you can request deletion at any time.
4. Payment data
Full Letter payments are processed by our payment provider. We receive the information needed to manage your subscription (such as your country, subscription status, and a masked card reference) but never the full card number. Refer to our payment provider's privacy policy for details on how they handle card data.
5. Email and analytics
We use a reputable email service provider to deliver the letter. This provider may record whether emails are delivered and opened so we can monitor reliability and quality. We do not embed third-party tracking pixels or behavioural advertising tags inside the letter.
6. Your rights
Under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA, and similar regimes, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email hello@icebergmind.app and we will respond within 30 days. You can also unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any letter.
7. Data retention
We keep your email and subscription details for as long as you are an active subscriber and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle billing, refunds, and legal obligations. Step Zero responses can be deleted on request without affecting your subscription.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. If the changes affect how we use your data, we will let you know by email.
